LOL

Off for the grand Walmart grocery run today. Erik and Emma were fairly happy after deciding walking was going to be the choice for the day. They decided to hold hands and stroll together. As the trip was almost complete we back tracked to the cleaning supply aisle. As they walked behind us I hear softly Emma start to point out at bottles as they pass "Poison", "poisons", (her volume increases and brother chimes in)"Poison",....they now are almost shouting "POISON!". I giggle. Emma and Erik follow hand in hand as we walk down the next aisle. Emma says in a sweet soft tone "Hey Erik, your hands are really soft".

LOL.

Now that is a great idea

I saw a show on TV that showed magnetic paint! Simply genius! My hubby would love to new EVER ...EVER put up my IKEA magnet board up again!

You can check it out here... I can't wait to try this in my next house. (Can you imagine the fun kids would have in there room!) Now if I would be patient enough to teach them not to leave the magnets on the floor?
All the more reason to buy a house but I will have to be patient trying to find the right one! Update on the house front is ....nada......we will keep you posted!

Who needs the girls scouts?

Samoas...aka Better than Girl Scout cookies

Recipe-
Half a cup white sugar
Half a cup corn syrup
Stick of butter
Half a tsp vanilla extract
One small can sweetened condensed milk
Four cups toasted coconut
1 or 2 boxes of shortbread cookies (Sandies shortbread fudge drops are best then you need 2 boxes)
2 cups chocolate chips

Melt butter, sugar,c.syrup together and bring to a boil for3 min. Toast the coconut at 350 in oven for 10 min. Add Sweetened condensed milk to mixture and turn on low to meduim heat for 6 min. (important to do it long enough)Then remove from heat and then add vanilla and coconut, stir well.
Lay out the cookies on a cookie sheet. Place a spoonful on each cookie, then drizzle melted chocolate over them. Let them completly cool before eating, takes 2-3 hrs.

Please don't be sad you missed the girl scouts this year, I am actually glad! Try these and you will understand why.

Finally!

Here is one of my all time favorite things to eat in Sweden.I would make them year round if I had my way! But any Swede would think that is next to blasphemy. Semlor, I loved them so much I named a cat after them once. Turns out that cat was from the pit, this pastry is heavenly I promise!I admit these were my BEST yet!

Soon and very soon

We have been out house shopping for the right house for us and looking and calculating. What a job. We are going to (if all falls into place) be buying a house in a newly developed area in the southern area. The commute will be 10 min longer but with 4,500 square feet, a backyard and a killer view I will not complain! The kids are so excited to get there own rooms-I am excited to paint there rooms!

Frank will not get his own room-he will have to share the office till he is not glued to my hip! But I am planning on giving him the honor to let this be the inspiration to the room. My friend Jess is so talented and made this for him-I picked it up from the mailbox on my way home from the hospital! No bad service eh!!! Thanks Jess-we love it!
