I thought I would give you all the short...or shortest version of the birth story of lil Frank. It is amazing and probably better said just an answered prayer. Last Monday I had the feeling that it was not long. So being the planner I am, I had a free day with the girls being it was MLK day and they were off school. My parents were flying in that night and the refrigerator was bare. I started having some irregular contractions but nothing I would get anyone worked up about. So it was off to Walmart for groceries. As I shopped I was having pretty strong contractions, I admit it was not a pretty site wrangling my kids while I was laying over my cart. I got to the frozen food section and thought...what if I am in labor and have my kid in Walmart...ahhh gross. Well we rushed home for a nap and my body settled down. I think my family was a little nervous. Being that mom and dad were in route to SLC and really wanted to be here for Frank's arrival. They arrived at 11:40pm and we all went to bed around 1am. At 5:54am I was jolted from a deep sleep to contractions and my water breaking. So then the kids heard the niose and woke up.....Grandma and Grandpa had appeared over night, mommy was dripping water, the baby is coming today and they get to hang with Miss Gwen. What a whirlwind! We got to the hospital at 7ish and as usual I was not very dialated much. I think at a 3, then at about each hour I dialated a cm, as we watched the Aunugration on TV between contractions. I was praying the lord's prayer with Rick Warren that is about all I heard. Last check I got I was at a 5, not sure how fast it all happened but next thing we know I thought it was time. And it was. With 2 swift pushes Frank entered the world at 11:40 am. For sure the easiest delivery yet, great to have my mom and dad here to be a part of this day. God heard our prayers and 12 hours after they arrived so did Frank. My grandpa Frank got the word that morning that we had our baby boy and his name was Frank-after him, and Charles after my mom's father. Both amazing men, wonderful grandpas and Frank is one of Peter's best friends. We came home a few days later, and the only thing that was a little tiring was he had gaundice so we spent days with under lights at home to get him better. Now he is back to a normal level and is such an easy baby! He looks much like Emma when she was little a good mix of Peter and I. What a miracle to witness, it never ceases to amaze me how a life comes into the world. We are so happy lil Frank Charles is finally here.
