It's Madam President if you may.
Yes, I am finally President of something! So does it count if it is your own club?
Well I have been thinking about the idea for at least 6 months, maybe a year. But did I dare venture to do more? I mean I already have more than I can chew on my plate.
See that is the problem. What is on the plate- To tired, to stressed, no time, empty fridge, no plan. Therefore either fast food or frozen food get served to often to I am sure my families dismay. Since we have chosen to hold family meals as a HIGH priority in our house, for me I have felt like if there was a way to just get more organized...I could have a better experience for us.
I surfed and surfed reading about "freezer groups", "meal making parties" and such. Till I thought I am going to do it and maybe-just maybe other moms would join me.
So I sent off an email and was surprised at all the support from my girlfriends! The plan took shape- Make meals at home, meet up and swap, go home with 10 dishes frozen to be enjoyed one CRAZY day at a time! Supermoms rock.
The club was born!Like a dove from the sky the name came to me.......SUBZERO HEROES!
We met this week and planned out our meals. Yummo! We are thinking outside the box and making 10 meals to give away each month as well. (As long as your doing 10 pans of food what is one more?) That feels great. And I can tell our monthly meetings will be a good therapy for me!Lots of laughter and destressing!
I will have to keep the world posted on how this culinary experience will pan out. But I think in the end our quality of family life will improve.
We all know when mom is happy...we all are happy!
Do you like this idea?
is a great site! Check it out. They have pans with lids and a cookbook all ready for you to get cooking!
My next post might be the kitchen table covered in ingredients and then the kitchen after making 12 pans of Mexican Lasagna! Or I will be skipping that and going straight into the state of the union address.

Midway with the fam
The last day of the Zeramatt Resort in Midway's Ice Palace exibition. Finally we all felt "ok" enough to get out and see the mountains. The flu bug hit us all hard but we made the best of it! Skiing will have to wait! The kids and grandpa were so bummed! But here is the only pictures we got from this trip!

Parents and packing peanuts
In a sea of company, among them parents and a whole bunch of packing peanuts we have heard the echos of our kids happy voices. As usual the patter of little feet running thru the house has been great. Discovering new hiding places and exploring the nieghborhood.
I have given into the many people asing for pictures. Thanks you guys-I finally cleared my kitchen island and made it look nice for once!
We love our new home, it is peaceful and I can say I loooove to sit and work from home watching the clouds come billowing over the mountain tops and over our house. Not sure if it is the location or huge windows. But it is so relaxing.
The silence fell this past week as the packing peanuts settled and the grandparents and my sister all went home. Many tears as usual were shed, and this time it seems as if the girls have matured a bit and really realize how much they miss everyone.
Here is the best I could do for pictures...

Dishwashing motivation

Below is the Living room with huge windows and is open to the 2nd floor

Below is the kids homework room-or for the sake of enjoyment we will call it the creativity room. Cuz who wants to go the the "homework" room?

Below is the Dining room
